Clove has antimicrobial and antioxidant effects. Clove Liquid Extract is derived from the pale yellow blooms of the tropical clove plant. It's an essential oil extracted from clove trees. The clove tree, Syzygium aromaticum, is indigenous to Southeast Asia.
This ingredient is made by distilling dried flower buds obtained from the clove tree. Other tree components, such as the stem and leaves, can also be used.
It ranges in colour from colourless to light yellow, has been utilised for millennia in a number of applications.
